Making the decision to remodel your home is an exciting one. Once you’ve done your research and prepared your home for a remodel, you can start the actual remodeling process! Whether it’s your first home renovation project or your tenth, the design-build team at James Barton Design-Build has created a step-by-step process to make remodeling streamlined, personal and simple for homeowners.
Step 1: Have a Consultation with the JBDB Team
To get the ball rolling, contact JBDB and let our team know about what you’re thinking for your project. We’ll schedule a time to meet with you – either in person or over the phone – to discuss the project in more detail.
Homeowners get to meet with the team one-on-one to discuss the renovation project. This is a great time to share your dreams and ideas for the project, as well as ask any questions you may have about the process. The JBDB team will provide initial recommendations and a potential timeline for the renovation.
Step 2: See Your Design Come to Life
After the consultation, the JBDB team will present 3D renderings of the project and provide cost estimates. Once the concept is approved, our designers work with you to decide on finishes – paint colors, flooring materials, tile, fixtures and hardware.
Step 3: Finalize Plans, Begin the Project!
After all the details have been decided, the renovation plans, budget, and timeline will all be finalized. Homeowners then sign off on the contract and our Twin Cities remodeling team will start the remodel!
Throughout the entire renovation process, our in-house carpenters will treat homeowners – and their home – with the highest level of respect. The JBDB team will ensure your project stays on time and on budget and are available to answer any questions you might have.
Step 4: The Project Concludes – But Not the Relationship
Even after the completion of the project, we don’t consider our relationship with the homeowners to be over. JBDB’s work is warrantied and we view homeowners as part of our family and are happy to provide ongoing support.
